Bealtaine Food Festival, Cork CIT

It was my privilege and pleasure to take part in today's Food Festival at the Cork Institute of Technology. Despite the drizzle, the coming of summer was enthusiastically celebrated by the Culinary Arts and Bar Management students, whose hard work in organizing the event reunited such local specialists and English Market neighbours as Kay Harte from the Farmgate, Declan Ryan of Arbutus Bread, and Isabelle and the good folk from On the Pig's Back. As well as the stallholders braving the elements outside, there were seminars indoors from Alan Kingston of dairymeisters Glenilen, Josef Finke of Ballybrado, Peter Ward of Country Choice in Nenagh and yours truly representing Bubble Brothers. I may have been over-ambitious in trying to communicate everything I think about wine in just one hour, but I hope my enthusiasm made up in some way for the lack of editing. If you were present today, thank you for your attention, opinions and questions. You can carry on the conversation by commenting here - or come and see us, use your voucher and see what else is on offer! These are the two wines we sampled: You can add your opinions in the review box below each product, as I mentioned, and help not only Bubble Brothers' customers, but also the readers of LouderVoice reviews, to make an informed decision when they're shopping with us. In the immediate meantime, please excuse me. The most unexpected and agreeably welcome gift given to me as I left requires urgent attention. The way to a man's heart
