Looks like, whatever I’m doing, I’m unintentionally disabling comments on this blog or otherwise messing them up without noticing it. Thanks Lar for tipping me the wink on this. Normal service will be resumed as soon as I can find time to fix the problems. My apologies for any inconvenience caused. UPDATE Now it appears that new posts are allowing comments again. Goodness only knows which part, if any, of all the ham-fisted tinkering I did yesterday made any difference. I just hope the thing stays fixed. I did, however, find out the greater, karmic reason for the blog’s going wrong. In the middle of my DIY bashing and snarling yesterday, a journalist rang to say that she would be drawing readers’ attention to this blog on Sunday. My greatest wreckings of this blog have immediately preceded interest by the media in the past. I should begin to recognize the signs by now, I guess.
