Three options in Beaujolais Nouveau 2024 from one excellent estate. Soft, fruity reds with youth and personality.
Beaujolais Nouveau 2024 Thursday 21st November
|
|
It's time to celebrate the very first wines from the 2024 harvest.
We are ready to release—on the traditional third Thursday of November, the 21st—three Beaujolais Nouveau wines from the excellent Domaine Dubost in Lantignié, run by fourth-generation winemaker Jean-Paul Dubost (pictured below).
In 2023 his generously fruity Vin de JP delivered much more roundness and satisfaction than some people associate with the style, and was a huge success at Bubble Brothers—while the more expensive Cerises d’Antan sold out in days.
This year we are adding to the range a Beaujolais-Lantignié nouveau, made without added sulphites to show off its luscious, youthful fruit.
|
|
The weather in 2024 was relatively kind to the Beaujolais compared with many other areas—so a good quality of ripe fruit was possible, even if yields were slightly reduced.

The first wine of the 2024 vintage. Last year's bottle was a great success at Bubble Brothers, and once again the vin de JP is a richly coloured, fruity red, with gentle tannins and good depth, perfect for celebrating another year's winemaking—or for any other occasion where delicious easy drinking is called for.

A floral, mineral nouveau from an area of the Beaujolais that considers itself justifiably separate from generic Beaujolais-Villages.
It's a no-added-sulphites charmer packed with ripe fruit from this year's harvest—energetic, bright and appetizing with the soft character of Gamay and the lively appeal of youth.
