‘The 2021 Lynch-Bages is one of the vintage's bigger, broader-shouldered wines, offering up aromas of crème de cassis, plums and spices, framed by a generous application of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, dense and chunky, with a velvety attack that segues into a layered core of fruit framed by generously extracted tannins, it concludes with a long, lusty finish. Fully 40 hectares of this estate is now cultivated organically, principally those parcels that adjoin the houses of Pauillac. As is almost invariably the case with this estate, it will repay a bit of patience. Drink 2031-2051.’
93+/100 William Kelley, robertparker.com, February 2024
‘The 2021 Lynch-Bages, picked at 34hl/ha and matured in 75% new oak for a planned 18 months, has an outstanding bouquet, beautifully-defined and sensual, a mixture of black and blueberry fruit, very fragrant. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, good body and density, quite precise with a tensile finish. This fans out nicely on the finish. A very classy Lynch Bages with echoes of Jean-Michel Cazes' classics from the late eighties.’
94–96/100 Neal Martin, vinous.com, May 2022
‘This is really cool to smell, with lead pencil shavings, iron filings and oyster shells. Blackcurrants, too. Full to medium body with layers of firm tannins, but a dusty and powdery texture, too. Lovely finish.’
96–97/100 James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, May 2022
‘Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Lynch-Bages rolls out of the glass with effortlessly expressive notes of creme de cassis, black raspberries, and mulberries, giving way to hints of crushed rocks, wild sage, and wood smoke. Light to medium-bodied, the palate has a sturdy frame of firm, grainy tannins and bags of freshness framing the muscular fruit, finishing long and minerally. 2027-2053. ’
92–94/100 Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent, May 2022
‘This is impressive, reduction on the first nose but it clears to show gentle smoked oak, bitter cocoa beans and liquorice, giving balance the the fresh acidities that stud the blackberry and raspberry fruits. This is powerful, with a structure that feels similar to the 2014 or the 2008 - a little subdued and austere, but with ageing potential… One of the best in Pauillac, finishing up with chewy tannins.’

Eircodes please

The ideal delivery address has someone available to sign for parcels during office hours, so a work address may be a better choice than a home address. An Eircode eliminates any doubt about the delivery location, and you can find or check Eircodes here.

Phone numbers please

Our couriers do their best to deliver and often have amazing local knowledge, but in the event of difficulties a reliable telephone number for the recipient makes all the difference and is a required piece of information. A mobile number is usually best.

Track your order

When we dispatch your order, we send on a tracking code so that you can follow your order in transit on the courier's website.

Delivery outside Ireland

If you need delivery to Northern Ireland, our €15 standard rate applies, with orders of €150 and more travelling free—for the time being.

We do not generally send wine overseas because of the complicated bureaucratic requirements and very high cost. If you would nonetheless like more information about deliveries outside the island of Ireland, please ask.

Returns

Faulty bottles

Wine is a natural product: its variety is what makes it so interesting!

Sometimes, though, a faulty bottle turns up. It's rare, but it does happen.

We want you to enjoy the wines you buy from us, and we'd like you to enjoy doing business with us too.

If you are unlucky enough to receive a bad bottle, please let us know immediately by calling the office on 021 431 6000 and we'll arrange a replacement or issue a credit in compensation.

Broken or Damaged Deliveries

Despite our best efforts to wrap and pack securely, damage in transit occurs from time to time.

If there's a breakage, our couriers will normally return the whole fragrant mess to us straight away.

If, however, the damage isn't apparent until you open the box, we'd still prefer to have the whole parcel collected. We'll send you a replacement as soon as possible.
