Ormanni

The ancient Ormanni estate, mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy, was sold to ancestors of the present owner in 1819. In the 1960s the traditional use of the land for mixed farming moved towards a focus on vines and olives, and tenant farming arrangements were replaced by owner management. Many of the estates' bottlings are now certified organic.
