Vigneron François Legros took over the family domain from his parents and his uncle in 1988. Since that date, the family vineyards have been extended by the purchase of new plots and the leasing of vines. In 1999, François added his father-in-law's property at Saint Aubin to his own estate.

The whole domain currently covers six and a half hectares in the Côtes de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune, with four and a half hectares given to Pinot Noir and the rest to Chardonnay.

François's elder daughter Charlotte, on completing her her studies at Beaune's Lycée Viticole, brought her expertise in viticulture to the family business in 2008, followed in 2017 by her sister Laure, who works on the commercial side.

Out of respect for their privileged terroirs, the Legros employ the minimal-intervention approach known as agriculture raisonnée, and their picking team harvest all the fruit by hand.

Both red and white wines are conditioned in French oak for between twelve and eighteen months, with between thirty and forty per cent new barrels in each appellation and the whole winemaking process overseen by the family from vine to bottle.
