Although the history of the site dates to Roman times, the property now known as Domaine Houchart came into being in the years following 1890 with the reinstatement of vines on the land after the phylloxera epidemic. In the foothills of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, it lies at the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, where a late-ripening terroir brings freshness to not just rosés but also traditional red and white wines.
