The Cornin estate is located at the southern tip of the Burgundy region, and consists of about twenty-five acres of vineyards around the village of Chaintré in the Mâconnais.
No synthetic herbicides have been used in the vines since 1998. Instead, grass between the rows is allowed to grow and then mechanically hoed with specialized inter-row tools.
A trial in 2003 led Dominique and his son Romain to embrace biodynamic methods. Their objective is to produce healthy grapes, in a rich, living soil, with the least possible ecological footprint.

‘Our goal is to produce grapes that our children, grandchildren want and can eat without having to think twice’.

The estate was one of those featured in the 2013 documentary film A Year in Burgundy—well worth a watch.
