Azul y Garanza
The Azul y Garanza name connects a number of projects that have evolved with time. The original Azul y Garanza winery is in Navarra, where the desert climate of the Bardenas Reales national park yields concentrated fruit from poor, shallow soils, scarce rainfall and extremes of temperature.
Altamente Vinos in the Jumilla DO is run by Fernando Barrena and his wife María, and they specialize in Monastrell grown in their low-cropping organic vineyards 900 metres above sea level.
Daní Sánchez founded and runs DIT Celler in Montsant, making fresh, intense and organically certified wines from the typical varieties Garnatxa and Samsó (Grenache and Carignan).
María Barrena and her husband Josep farm his family vineyards in the Baix Penedès, making a range of organic wine and cava from old vines under the Entre Vinyes label.
