A RANGE OF GERMAN WINES
In February 2020 Rudolph Rüttger wrote to us to introduce himself and his wines, but because we were busy planning a trip to ProWein, the enormous annual wine fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, we put him off till our return.
Of course we ended up not going anywhere. In the meantime Rudi had decided to send us a box of samples anyway, just as a cheering thing to do and just in case we might be interested…
You can now enjoy a taste of Cariñena when you're browsing our Spanish selection. We discovered some excellent value, and couldn't resist placing an order from one of the leading wineries in the region, which lies south of Zaragoza in north-eastern Spain. Take your pick of seven new wines including full-bodied reds, a juicy, dry Moscatel-Chardonnay blend and a firm, mouthwatering rosé. There's a very high quality:price ratio. Let us know what you think!
You can be among the first to sample a new Irish drink that is already making waves from its home on Valentia Island.
Vermouth is a fortified wine perfect for mixing as a long drink or in cocktails, and mermaids Anna and Orla have launched their business with an indulgent, golden version that balances rich sweetness with the herbal and bitter flavours of twenty botanical extracts, some locally foraged to give a taste of Valentia in every bottle.
The packaging is great (what a gift!) the contents are delicious and versatile—everything is in place for a new Irish success story. Cheers!
