A selection of supple, attractive wines made from Pinot Noir.
Pure, exuberant Pinot, aged in oak for fourteen months, with twenty per cent of the barrels new French oak. Its initial aromas are reminiscent of raspberry and cloves, followed by a mid-weight palate of racy acidity with juicy pomegranate freshness, rich, silky flavours, black cola aromas and a hint of spice on the nose.
Pinot Noir from Chile is gaining a reputation as a very attractive and approachable expression of the grape. This ruby jewel comes from organic, biodynamic and sustainable vineyards in the cool climate of the San Antonio Valley, just ten miles from the Pacific coast.
Yering Station, Yarra Valley, Village Pinot Noir 2019
€23.00 €19.55
Black and red berry aromas with a hint of vanilla in a fruity but structured Pinot Noir from Victoria's oldest winery.
There are gamy nuances and some earthy, savoury notes that will evolve with age—but this is a wine that is already delicious and entirely approachable in its youth.
This unctuous wine has a deep garnet colour and dark cherry fruit aromas on the nose. Earthy herbal flavours and silky texture make it a great match for duck or roast chicken.
‘The nose reveals an abundance of floral notes, a characteristic of this vintage, with some dry rose petal. Greener, earthy notes of beetroot and soil emerge next. The palate is very fresh and juicy with dry strawberry, sour cherry, grapefruit and cranberry with a lengthy, crunchy finish.’
A soft, silky Pinot Noir from Marlborough that offers reliable ripe fruit suppleness and also some gently spicy, thyme-scented elements and good length.
We've been eagerly waiting for our latest Sancerre delivery from the Cherrier family—and now the 2022 vintage is here, and just as mouthwateringly delicious as ever.
