I'm taking a bit of a gamble in hoping that i) the sound of my voice annoys you rather less than it annoys me, and that ii) you'll forgive my gloomy camera-work. The news, the reason for this post, is much better than either, in any event: we have a range of really good Bordeaux available, not just en primeur but here in the warehouse and ready to go.
Some disappointing tastings have led us to be very circumspect indeed where Bordeaux is concerned. The selection we'll be keeping in our shops is all the good stuff, and we've included wines from châteaux with Irish names - once we feel that the drinking quality is what we're looking for. There's always a demand for these wines around Christmas, and this year we're better prepared than ever. To get the full picture, you'll have to come down and see for yourself, for the moment but in very short order I hope to have all the bottles in stock listed on our website with their very competitive prices. The wines I mention in the clip are the following, by the way:
- Ch. Lynch-Moussas, Pauillac 2006
- Ch. Kirwan, Margaux 2004
- Ch Calon-Ségur, St-Estephe 2006
- Ch. Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien 2004, and
- Ch. du Tertre, Margaux, 2006.
