Avignonesi offer 22 May–4 June 2023
Taste a big name from Tuscany: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso, Vin Santo and more
Save 15% on wines from Avignonesi till June 4th
Superb Tuscan Sangiovese
The grapes that Avignonesi use are in fact Prugnolo Gentile (also known as Brunello), the close relative of Sangiovese that is particular to the Montepulciano area. This variety makes fresh, silky reds that are delicious young—like the Rosso in our mix—but also lend themselves to ageing, especially in the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (also in the mix).
If you like tasty, satisfying but not too full-bodied reds that suit all kinds of meals, or if you'd like an authentic flavour of Tuscany, this mixed case is ideal.
Both the wines in the mix are vegan and organic, which is to say they're made with the welfare of the natural and human environment in mind.
Avignonesi was bought in 2009 by Belgian lawyer Virginie Saverys. Her passion for wine and sustainable, healthy work practices have made Avignonesi the biggest biodynamic winery in Italy.
You can also save 15% on wines from the rest of the Avignonesi range—definitely worth a click if you fancy a taste of Tuscany in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
A range of single-grape juices ideal for summer: a red, a white, and two sparkling options. A treat for everyone, from designated drivers to junior infants—just a simple, natural refreshment.
