Steely, peachy, vigorous dry white from Galicia. Brilliant with seafood, with a nice crispness and a firm, citrus-influenced acidity.

Gorgeously fruity, fresh white with an exuberant nose of passionfruit, hawthorn and honey, followed by a medium-bodied, zingy palate of citrus fruits. Clean, minerally finish with the faintest suggestion of maritime Galicia.

Enjoy this perennial customer and staff favourite with seafood or as an aperitif.

“Full on flavours of gooseberry, peaches, and white flowers. Inviting creaminess.”

Decanter World Wine Awards , Silver Medal (2010 vintage)
Peñín Guide 2012 - Silver Medal, 86/100

“Pale gold. Bright and energetic on the nose, displaying fresh Meyer lemon and green apple scents that give way to a deeper melon quality on the back half. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering sappy citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of honeysuckle. The floral quality carries through a long, mineral-tinged finish that emphatically echoes the orchard fruit note.”
Vinous, 90/100 (May 2017, 2015 vintage)

“Aromas of fresh citrus fruits, crushed vitamins and nectarine are pleasant and welcoming. This offers good acidic cut and overall balance. Flavors of stone fruits focus on apricot and nectarine, while the finish is elegant.”

Albariño is synonymous with the rainy DO of Rías Baixas in north-west Spain, where it accounts for 90% of all plantings. Officially, 12 varieties are allowed in the DO, but little is seen of the other whites - Loureiro, Caiño blanco, Treixadura, Godello, Torrontés - and less again of the six permitted red grapes.

Rías Baixas is named after the flooded coastal valleys - rías - that penetrate 30km inland along the length of the region.

One of the effects of COVID-19 is increased business for online businesses and courier companies, and this has led to delays despite everyone's best efforts.

PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME: UP TO FIVE WORKING DAYS for deliveries, though many arrive sooner than this.

We recommend that, for instance, you order as early as possible in the week if you are choosing wine for the weekend.

Any delays are likely to be more significant in more densely populated areas of the country.

Online delivery charges and times

Orders of €150+: free delivery nationwide

All other orders: €15 nationwide flat rate

(please NB delivery of 'offline' orders, those placed by telephone or personal visit, is also charged at €15 for purchases of less than €150, and is free of charge for purchases of €150 or more)

Orders received by midday Monday to Thursday are dispatched that day or the next day.

Orders received by noon on a Friday are dispatched that day or on the following Monday.

Online orders

Our online orders are delivered by courier to ensure fast and reliable delivery of each carefully packaged consignment. Because nobody likes breakages, we use very strong and secure packaging specially designed to protect wine bottles.

Personalised champagne orders are dispatched to meet your requested deadline, or otherwise as soon as possible. Please allow at least one extra working day for these orders to be prepared.

Eircodes please

The ideal delivery address has someone available to sign for parcels during office hours. This may mean that a work address is a better choice than a home address, as each delivery of our lovely wine needs to be signed for. An Eircode eliminates any doubt about the delivery location, and you can find or check Eircodes here.

Phone numbers please

Our couriers do their best to deliver and often have amazing local knowledge, but in the event of difficulties a reliable telephone number for the recipient makes all the difference and is a required piece of information. A mobile number is usually best.

Track your order

When we dispatch your order, we send on a tracking code so that you can follow your order in transit on the courier's website.

Delivery outside Ireland

If you need delivery to Northern Ireland, please get in touch for availability and rates. Unfortunately, we do not send wine overseas because of the complicated bureaucratic requirements and very high cost.

Faulty bottles

Wine is a natural product: its variety is what makes it so interesting!

Sometimes, though, a faulty bottle turns up. It's rare, but it does happen.

We want you to enjoy the wines you buy from us, and we'd like you to enjoy doing business with us too.

If you are unlucky enough to receive a bad bottle, please let us know immediately by calling the office on 021 431 6000 and we'll issue a credit in compensation.

Broken or Damaged Deliveries

Despite our best efforts to wrap and pack securely, damage in transit occurs from time to time.

If there's a breakage, our couriers will normally return the whole fragrant mess to us straight away.

If, however, the damage isn't apparent until you open the box, we'd still prefer to have the whole parcel collected. We'll send you a replacement as soon as possible.
