Further Details

The Pecorino grape originates in Abruzzo and the Marche region to its north.

Although Italian wine regulations suggest it can be grown anywhere, like any variety it performs best in its preferred terroirs, not too close to the sea and kept off south-facing slopes.

This is a medium- to full-bodied, relatively aromatic dry white, with deeper colour than Ferzo's Passerina or Cococciola and richer flavours of orange peel and herbs.

Like the best Pecorinos, it has good concentration, and balancing acidity that gives keen freshness through its full, textured length. It's an excellent partner for fish and seafood, with enough interest and liveliness to make an impressive glassful by itself too.
