Stop Press: 2007 Wine Guide Dinner

Short notice I know, but there's a great night out happening this Monday at Jacob's on the Mall. Eighty euro will get you not only a five-course dinner of the finest kind, but also a comprehensive tasting opportunity among the wines of Australia featured in this year's Wine Guide: the Best of Wine in Ireland 2007, hosted by wine expert and editor of the guide John Wilson. They don't normally bother doing this in Cork, so if you can get along to this one, you should.

To coincide with the publication of The Best of Wine in Ireland 2007, Wine Australia is teaming up with the guide’s publishers, A & A Farmar to host a dinner in Cork highlighting the many delicious Australian wines in this year’s guide.

The date is Monday 20th November at Jacobs on the Mall, with kick off at 7.30pm

The evening will start with a tasting of a number of the Australian wines which have performed well in this year’s Best of Wine in Ireland guide. This will be followed by a delicious 5-course meal, accompanied by more star rated wines from the guide. These will be introduced by the guide’s editor, well respected wine journalist, John Wilson.

Tickets cost €80 per person and reservations can be made directly with
Jacobs on the Mall on (021) 425 1530

So book your passage for what should be a great night.
