Avignonesi was bought in 2009 by Belgian lawyer Virginie Saverys. Her passion for wine and sustainable, healthy work practices have made Avignonesi the biggest biodynamic winery in Italy.
The magnificent Sangiovese fruit of the estate is allowed to express all its authenticity and history in each vintage, while the winemaking team's respect for the land, its produce and also for the human chain from grower to consumer is the guiding principle of the modern Avignonesi approach.
